Dahlia

Welcome

Orders for the 2012 season are now being accepted. Gift Certificates and Gift Packages for 2012 are also available. Go to Ordering for details.

Charing House Gardens has been selling dahlia tubers and cut flowers since 2004. Dahlias are our specialty. All of our dahlias are grown outdoors, without the help of greenhouses.

We sell fresh cut, high quality flowers to Ottawa area florists, and at an on-site self serve flower cart during blooming season. Florists appreciate the opportunity to buy locally grown flowers, and enjoy product not available through wholesalers. We have many unusual and unique colours, shapes, and sizes of blooms. Friends and neighbours like to buy fresh cut bouquets from the Cart  at wholesale prices.

Dahlia tubers from the gardens are available from March to May, and can be ordered in January or later for the following growing season. The Catalogue is updated to reflect the current harvest by January. Tubers are usually sprouted at the time of shipping or selling, ensuring a viable healthy plant. To purchase tubers in person in the Ottawa area, Charing House Gardens will have a booth at SEEDY SATURDAY  in March at Ron Colbus Centre in Britannia Park and also at the Friends of the Central Experimental Farm’s RARE AND UNUSUAL PLANT SALE on Mother’s Day in May. Gift packages of tubers are also available for birthdays and/or Mother’s Day or Father’s Day. More information is available on the Ordering page.

Feel free to browse our Catalogue and discover all the dahlia varieties that Charing House Gardens has to offer! If you would like to place an order, please visit our Ordering page for more information.
